Birthday hire includes the Villa, the Garden, and in-house cocktail bar service. Our catering partners deliver canapé packages and seated menus so you don’t co-ordinate suppliers. Add a dedicated coordinator and they curate the catering, bar, and styling as one considered evening — not a stack of vendors you're managing. Arrive as a guest at your own party.

Arrival drinks in the Garden, dinner in the Villa, and the gallery upstairs, where your guests dance past whatever's currently on the walls — TEMPO's rotating exhibitions don't stop for your party, they're part of it. Or keep it simple — one floor, one format. The building adapts to the kind of night you want to have.

Standing celebration with canapé service, bar open throughout. Best for milestone birthdays where mingling and movement matter more than a fixed seat.
Seated Dinner

Long table or round tables for a proper birthday dinner. The format of a private members’ club dinner — with your menu, your playlist, and no shared dining room.
Drinks & Dinner

Cocktails on arrival (the Garden + bar) transitioning to a seated dinner for the inner circle. Two formats, one evening, same hire.

It feels like a private club
The building is yours for the evening. No other tables. No restaurant service around you. Your guests, your playlist, your bar. That’s the difference between a private hire and a restaurant booking.

The venue photographs well
The 1930s events villa, the arched entrance, the Garden on Pasteur. These are real architectural details. Your birthday photos don’t need a backdrop — the room is the backdrop.

We handle the logistics
Add a coordinator on-site from setup to close. Catering partners who know the space. Bar team from our program. Your job is to be the guest of honour — not the event manager.

Can we bring our own birthday cake?
Yes. You’re welcome to bring an external cake — we’ll arrange the serving setup and candles. We can also connect you with our partner patisseries if you’d like us to source it.
Can we play our own playlist?
Yes. Our in-house sound system supports Bluetooth and aux connection. You control the playlist from your own device. We can also recommend DJs from our network for parties that want live mixing.
What is the latest the event can run?
Birthday hire runs through TEMPO's AFTER DARK tempo — the room shifts from dinner to dance floor as the night goes on. Standard close is midnight; Friday and Saturday nights can run later if you want the full AFTER DARK stretch — just flag it in your enquiry.
